I remember there was talk her album with him being involved would be released in April. Now it's already February and still no info available anywhere it seems. Is it still on ? Do we know anything at all about it - what Francis role is on it (songwriting, singing playing, producing ..) ?

I dare say it'll turn up at some point. I suspect recent events have thrown a few things into turmoil.
I checked her out on You Tube. It looks like a few Quo fans have because there are associated links all over the place to Quo and even Alan Lancaster.
Her voice is a bit shrill for me. Its OK. Its sort of in the same vein as Bernadette from The North so I can see where Francis is coming from. It just seems to lack dynamic. The style of her music with The Relatives reminds me a bit of Paloma Faith, although not her voice.
I doubt I'll like any collaboration between her and Francis but I'd never dismiss it without giving it a listen.

Wasn't this to be released in April this year ? Either it has been put back to not collide with Rick's album release or the promotion hasn't started for the same reason. In any case there has been no promotion from the Quo camp so far and for an April release it would be too late now or it's going to be very low profile.

I get the impression that a Francis solo album of some sort is on the way. I am led to believe (as things stand at the moment - that's my disclaimer ) that the next issue of FTMO will concentrate on it. But I dare say that all depends on when the finished product is available. Things change. And, to be fair, they'll be leaving space for Rick's album to get the attention for a while.

In one of the previous editions of FTMO, I'm sure Francis said that he'd completed one solo album but was concentrating on the one with Hannah R and trying to finish that one.
Perhaps this will see the light of day in the latter part of the year?

As far as I'm aware his solo solo album ( ) has been ready for years and its release been pushed back repeatedly with Quo always having come first with Francis (sadly) or the timing not suited .. About two years ago (I think ?) this project with Hannah Rickard took shape and then the release of it was scheduled even before his own album. But that was last spring or summer already and isn't exactly new. Dates for release mentioned then were April for the Rickard/Rossi album and autumn for the older solo album. So I'm under the impression that Francis and Hannah have stepped back to let management concentrate on the release and marketing of Rick's material, which is probably a wise move from a commercial POV, as an album from beyond the grave will sell well and that momentum is still there. (Remember A2, which was released much too late ..). At the moment I expect the R/R album to be released in summer. If that still leaves room for Francis' own album remains to be seen, but if it's not released this year it won't be out next year either as that will be used for the build-up towards the new Quo album. All IMO - so it'll probably pan out completely different ..

I guess earMusic prefer now a new Francis Rossi album after Rick‘s success instead of Hannah Richard-Acar featuring Francis Rossi... On the other hand Francis needed new songs for the next Quo album and maybe he will use some of them from his solo stuff...

To sell Francis solo album as just a kind of follow up to Rick's would certainly be unfair towards him and lead to unnecessary comparisons. Follow ups have a habit to be failures and he doesn't deserve that. On his last solo album only one song was written for Quo originally. I'd assume it would be similar with this one. I don't think removing the barrier between solo and band recordings would be a good move. What would be the point in solo recordings then ?
