Who actually played it cos it doesn't sound like Rossi, is it a Freddie solo.
To me it almost sounds like a different key..
Any thoughts?

I think it is a Freddie solo. Its mighty fine as well. In the concept of it as much as the execution. Its very different and does sound like a different key. Weird but it works!

If it's Freddie it's mentioned on the sleeve, same as with the Bad News solo. So fairly easy to find out. If nobody else is mentioned it's Francis.

Freddie is listed as "additional guitars" on the track.
Actually, I noticed something while I was looking that I never spotted before. 5 tracks were produced by Francis and 3 by Rick. I can't recall Rick ever getting a production credit before other then when its been with the other members of the band.
Just a passing observation.
