I know you meant Quo live ...but they don't change/changed the setlist you know.... Correct, apparently it didnt work for Quo to change the setlist, but it did for Mr Rossi and his club tour :ignore: That's why I prefer to listen to songs like You'll came round,Claudie,Electric Arena,Can't give you more,Twenty Wild Horses,All we really wanna do or Tongue Tied with Francis and his band instead of listening to WYW,RAOTW,Caroline ,ITAN ,BBJ and a couple of pointless medleys with the Status Quo and their setlist for the last ten years........

One of the reasons it never went in the set but Thinking of You did. Was because two band members don't like it so that's why it never got played. Francis was not one of them he loves it.

Well I don't really care who did or didn't like it ....As they keep going with the same set and don't let any 'odd' songs in they lost me as a paying ticket holder for almost ten years.......

Think this is just a great song live or otherwise.
I think it did work live and was disappointed that the band never introduced it into the set.
I know what @durango95 means though. I do like Caroline and In The Army Now but if I never heard WYW, BBJ or the Red Sky medley ever again, then I wouldn't miss them.
ive, you feeling alright? That's THREE co-penned ROSSI songs that you've selected this morning

I've always loved this song. As a side topic, I DO like Ricks jacket in the video

I absolutely agree with @durango ! I wouldn't miss the hits one second if they were taken out of the set, never to be played again. They managed to destroy my enjoyment of a variety of classic tunes by doing them to death, which is a real shame. Francis solo set was a breath of fresh air - it worked and 'flowed' perfectly well. Incidentally many of my personal favourites were included too, with YCR one of them ! I'd so very much wish he'd be a little more daring and imaginative with the Quo set as well now that majorities have shifted ..

Even more so now they def can't omit to play the GH songs now though, most of their audience is casuals and they only know the hits. That's why a wrote they're so frustrating for us 'real' fans in my definition

That's why a wrote they're so frustrating for us 'real' fans in my definition Er, I'm a past real fan, does that count ?! I do agree with yer earlier point in this thread that it would have been great for them to omit some of the hits from the set list though, but replacing them with album tracks wouldn't have proved to be popular to their current audience in my opinion, most wouldnt have had a clue what they were playing It's a question of perseverance IMO. They refused to drop CUOY and TO till the audience learned to like them and consider them hits as well - they could've done the same with every other song of their choosing as well. And there are still enough songs in the set which never were (big) hits and which wouldn't be missed by the casuals. These could be replaced with new songs constantly without the audience bothering too much. If they'd spread the biggies - RAOTW, ITAN and WYW - and the casuals would get a hit every 4 or 5 songs, surely they'd leave just as happy as with the recent set. It's such a big shame the band didn't try it out even once ..
