As I subscribe to Q a Magazine I have just received an advance copy for next month, I have only had a quick flick through but it doesn't seem show any mention of Rick's passing, but there are 8 or so pages for George Michael??

craydarrI didn't realise that this magazine was still on the go but if they have ignored Rick's passing, then I'd be disappointed but not surprised. Seldom bought this title but when I did, I always got the impression that they took themselves very, very seriously.

You are right they do take themselves seriously and they have never like Quo but its still a surprise.
I like some of the features on new bands and that's why I still get it, something like Classic Rock is not really varied enough for me to get all the time.

I also used to buy "Q" magazine but I stopped. Quite a while ago. Very self-important. Not unlike the NME of the 70's but without the humour. They have openly given Quo a right old hammering although they were fairly generous in their assessment of them at Glastonbury calling them the "surprise highlight of the weekend". Rick's passing will just be the demise of another old, and now irrelevant, rock star. Whereas Wham, of course; well, they were radically ground-breaking
