It don't do a lot for me to be honest,, unlike the clip below which has the missing core element in it, and that's what makes the difference, I can hear the difference, clearly you and others wont be able to It's a good performance, shame the sound quality isn't a bit better

If Richie's guitar was at the same volume in the mix that Rick's always was there would be very little difference and that's not being disrespectful to Rick, as the tour went on Richie grew in confidence and his guitar work was excellent, infinitely superior to the pouting, posing Freddie.

Really ?! , well that made me laugh, first time in days At least my comment served some purpose then.

Watching this clip again Leon works his balls of on this one, in the FTMO mag. Rhino makes a comment along the lines of him coming into his own on this tour and I totally agree with him.
Awesome drumming

We've been to his very first gig with Quo and I guess he must've been very nervous - it was in front of a 30k crowd after all. I'm not able to tell differences in drumming style, but at the time I noticed that he sounded energetic and louder than Matt had on his last tours (and I had thought Matt was a really good drummer for Quo). He'll have grown a lot in confidence and really got the feel for Quo since .. Did I mention it before ? Quo sounded great on that last tour !

ah but remember , casuals WILL accept anything by anybody as long as they play the hits, & its still called SQ,,, may I suggest in that case they go see one of the many Quo trib bands who play them properly and far better If any of the tribute bands come and play near me, then I shall surely go. Never seen any up until now but I shall keep an eye out for them.

Nice to see you have yer standards clearly set to accepting 2nd best, or infact any lower level as long as they still call themselves SQ and yer beloved Mr Rossi is still there, yer looking silly(er) now We're all in this band for different reasons...

We're all in this band for different reasons... Different reasons ? care to enlighten me with what those are ?! Is one of them " we don't care what bilge they churn out as long as its called SQ, we still think its good/better,, & we are desperate to hang on" ? Different reasons means some are into Quo for Francis, others (like you) are/were for Rick. The Alan fans have gotten off the train in 86 etc., what I mean is that while we are all somehow united in liking some of what was written, recorded and performed under the name of "Status Quo", we all have our own preferences and being mainly into the group for one band member isn't any more or less valid than being into them for another guy. I get where you're coming from, but sometimes you have to see the bigger picture. We also cannot control who we like more, so while I don't see people giving you hell for being an outspoken Parfitt fan, you still somehow see the need to attack Rossi fans...

After all they've only been playing together for one tour so far. I don't mind that though, I very much enjoyed the gig is what matters to me. Best would then be the Rossi/Parfitt/Bown/Edwards/Letley line-up I guess - up till around 2006 at least. I've seen them far more often than any other line-up, which should count for something .. So yep, I'm happy with second best too - and I loved third best as well at the time ..
