I'd buy it regardless of quality. I don't really see me stopping now at this late stage Having bought albums by Andy, Francis, Rhino and Leon, a PLC album (or whatever it's called) would also be a mandatory purchase. I'd expect it to be half decent the same as any Quo related product. Some haven't been over the decades but not many. Half decent, apart from a few exceptions, is the bare minimum their recordings have tended to be. For this old sod anyway. Bit of a side issue here Mortified, apologies to the thread creator for that, but what did you make of Andrews last album ?, I thought it was rather good

I liked it. It was different to Quo, which is what I was hoping for, and he had a bunch of very good musicians with him. Well, he would. He must know plenty There isn't really a track on it I don't like. All were good and some were actually great. I'm glad most of these songs were saved for a solo album. If memory serves me correctly, he also wrote two of the three new ones on Aquostic II and I didn't think they fitted well under the Quo umbrella. Not in isolation up against older, well known Quo material. Had they been on Unfinished Business, I think they'd have come across better because they were more in that style.

Really looking forward to the PLC material to be honest. I think (and hope) it'll be a breath of fresh air... I'll certainly be making a purchase!

I bought Chroma by Nova Neon. I'd already grabbed a couple of download singles when the band were still called Chroma and quite liked them. I don't know if you've heard anything but the material is light years away from Quo. Almost a polar opposite. Better than Clean Bandit by a mile but along those lines. I'd first seen Leon do a cover of the Porcupine Tree song, The Sound of Muzak, on You Tube - playing all the instruments - and was well impressed. Kept an eye ever since really.

It would appear there will be no PLC album. Not now. So whoever was so certain - I think on Facebook - they were wrong. Not exactly a first mind

No I haven't heard anything that Leon's done. I knew he'd done a few things, but I probably didn't follow them up because they weren't on the Quo home page. I'll have a listen when I get chance.

Guess Alan mentioned in connection with a song on Rick's solo album means, that there won't be any PLC stuff otherwise. Not enough material overall for both would be my guess ..

Bugger. What a disappointment. I was really looking forward to that too.

There will be a PLC project... not an album. John and Alan both said at the convention that it is still being worked on.
Ricks solo album has nothing to do with PLC, two completely separate things / projects. It's not going to be a PLC album, more than likely just an EP

Does that mean that there's Rick material that ISN'T on the solo release then? Or is it that he maybe contributed (musically or vocally) to songs by, say, Alan during the last 6 months of his life?
Interesting either way.

Interesting either way. Yes He started writing again with Lancaster (and Coghlan) after or during the reunion tours. Rick has his bits down, it's either Alan or John that need to do their bits then it should be sorted. Could be either next year or the years after. Next year is quite busy with releases as far as I am aware. Deluxe editions to come and Rick solo album (as we know) is out in March

They can't tour it anyway. So maybe then introduce it at another memorial gig for Rick with Alan, John and the RPJ band .. ? Does anybody know if Bob has been involved as well (writing, playing harp ..) ?
