1980 - I was 10 years old and remember hearing Roll Over Lay Down on my cousin's copy of Twelve Gold Bars, and had never experienced anything like the power of music to excite me the way it builds from the quiet bit back to the final verse.
I bought Lies/DDMC on 7" after that, and SBYBIL the year after.
It was the 1982 concert on Friday Night Rock Show that sealed the deal: 4500 Times/Big Fat Mama/Roadhouse Blues.
Job done.

I think it was either Caroline or Down Down. But the one that really hooked me was Roll Over Lay Down.
