Just back from the gig. To sum it up - the band were brilliant. Sounds as if you had a great time? Glad you went? Look forward to reading your critique of the gig at a later date

Reminds me of Mac's and Lozza's 'gig reports' .. :lolflg: Glad to hear it went well - I know you've been dreading it a little bit. Now I'm looking forward to the detailed Inna version ..

Wow, I haven't heard that Quo chant in years - I used to love it ! Thanks for the detailed report and good to hear you enjoyed it for what it is now - despite missing Rick.

@inna - good report! I was going to ask (tongue in cheek) if the band DRDW were wearing lederhosen but here they are - don't give up watching before the video has run 1 minute.

Oh, I didn't give up, but can't get that song out of my head now... :dunce: I went and looked it up, the title that is. It's Bavarian and means something like having a blast. They actually played it last Saturday. It was really loud and rocking, and the crowd really had a blast. I read in the papers this morning that a terrible accident happened on the A3 only about three quarters of an hour after we had left it after the Quo gig. The police had stopped a 47-year-old man in his Astra, but he suddenly put the pedal to the metal and raced off. The police gave chase, finally managed to overtake the Astra, but the man turned off the headlights of his car, TURNED the car around on the motorway and headed off in the wrong direction. The police gave up the chase and informed the radio stations to give out warnings and asked for a helicopter. Only about five miles later, the Astra crashed head-on into the Chrysler of a 29-year-old man. They were both killed instantly. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the article in the papers this morning. Quo must have headed in the same direction as we did if they had been on their way to Frankfurt that night. What a horrible, horrible thing to happen! Too many vehicles become weapons, glad you were out of the way.

Great review Inna I could not say it any better. Won't even try I had a great time and enjoyed the concert very much 00008989 . After the concert Francis stayed on stage at the stairs to take it all in: the ongoing applause and cheering... Wonderful! Gonna add a few clips later on... still have to check if they are "suitable for publication" (i.e. me not singing along or changing direction in the middle of the song....) So sorry to read about the fatal accident ??? .... "the man turned off the headlights of his car, TURNED the car around on the motorway and headed off in the wrong direction" :oo: It is unbelievable! Horrifying even! He not only endangered his live, but another young man was killed too... So horrible and sad ??? Be safe on Thursday!

Nice video - and you received a lovely smile there ! I won't even ask when you started queuing to get that spot right in front of Francis .. The guy still looks fit like a fiddle - there's definitely no reason for him to stop. Sounds like quite the lively audience. - And I love that song !

And I love that smile  Better not ask when I start queuing (was not the first.... only the 3rd ) and it was cold. But thanks to the golden circle ticket we could enter the building sooner... although we had to wait a while before another door leading to "the place to be". A man from the security told everyone that we had to stay behind him (safety measure as I heard as of not to run and fall down and let others fall too...)... anyone who would run or walk faster then him would loose their golden circle badge. So the best thing to do was: LISTEN and stay behind the man until we entered the golden circle and.... got a good spot. . Yes, Francis does look fit like a fiddle.... it seems he found some new energy (or is it me hoping he won't stop? I want another solo tour ! The audience was singing along, doing the quo-chant and so... I too love that song (and as I was filming I did not have to jump ). Another video: Proposin' Medley & Paper Plane ( snakelady: there are "a few" close ups of you-know-who  )

snakelady: glad you liked it . It seems they all move around more frequently. I am also glad they play Gerdundula so that Leon also has his change at the front of the stage. They all seem to enjoy it too.... and when you notice they are enjoying themselves.... I enjoy it even more!

I don't buy into this 'rock bands have to look dead serious when playing their music on stage' stuff anyway. Why not show when you enjoy what you're doing ? Nobody will take the music any more (or less) serious when you're smiling on stage.
