Must confess I do like the track. Shame it never became a bit better known outside of the Quo fan base.
Have they ever played it live? I don't recall hearing it but there again I do tend to forget the set list about 3 minutes after the gig.

I think it's a great Christmas-song. If Quo had done this somewhere in the seventies, it would have been a big hit. I'm sure of that.

You just can't help but like it. Even Francis has admitted to that  . |

Sorry, but it is bl00dy awful. Like the vast majority of Christmas songs. Apart from Wayne Morris's guitar solo. I get the impression from interviews at the time that it was entirely Rick's idea taken up as a good one by Mr Porter. They were both wrong |

They played the chorus a few times as part of a Christmas medley they did on the second Quofest winter tour in Britain a few years ago. |

After hearing Quo's Christmas single, Hold You Back with jingles this morning, Christmas Time don't seem to bad now Be thankful Quo is played on the radio at all !  So obviously we can now officially consider HYB the second single. Too little too late IMVHO .. |

It seems to be a particular favourite in both our local Tescos. I hope the PRS are on to them. I can't make up my mind about it. It's got all the classic British 70s/80s Xmas single ingredients, and it is certainly catchy but..?? weihnachtsmann-smilies-0104 :confused4:
