Must confess I do like the track. Shame it never became a bit better known outside of the Quo fan base.
Have they ever played it live? I don't recall hearing it but there again I do tend to forget the set list about 3 minutes after the gig.

I think it's a great Christmas-song. If Quo had done this somewhere in the seventies, it would have been a big hit. I'm sure of that.

I wonder whose idea this was and who was against it 107 It was the idea of the 'serious rocker' and the 'MOR pop guy' was against it :lolflg: I don't normally like Christmas pop songs (as opposed to real traditional Christmas songs), but this one's so addictive. You just can't help but like it. Even Francis has admitted to that .

Sorry, but it is bl00dy awful. Like the vast majority of Christmas songs. Apart from Wayne Morris's guitar solo. I get the impression from interviews at the time that it was entirely Rick's idea taken up as a good one by Mr Porter. They were both wrong

They played the chorus a few times as part of a Christmas medley they did on the second Quofest winter tour in Britain a few years ago.

They played it 3 or 4 years ago at the NEC when they had the 'snow' cannons. Personally I think it is trite.

Erhm .. no ! It sounds awful - far too fuzzy and screechy .. Film is cute though.

It's alright, nothing more than that for me. A bit predictable and Quo by numbers really and I think the video is a bit twee.
Don't think it would make my all time Christmas Top Ten.

Don't think it would make my all time Christmas Top Ten. Love the fact it's Quo by numbers, just giving it a first airing of 2016, first of many for me weihnachtsmann-smilies-0104

It seems to be a particular favourite in both our local Tescos. I hope the PRS are on to them. I can't make up my mind about it. It's got all the classic British 70s/80s Xmas single ingredients, and it is certainly catchy but..?? weihnachtsmann-smilies-0104 :confused4:

Love the track and never tire of it. The reason is it's a track you can only realistically play a max of two months per year.
