Not sure if you've heard of Frankie Miller or not but he has a new cd out, called Double Take.
Unfortunately, he had a brain haemorrhage a few years ago and he hasn't enjoyed the best of health since then.
He seems to be well respected though and has many famous friends in the music industry, quite a few of them play on this new album.
Rod, Elton, to name but two and Francis duets with him on Gold Shoes. I tried to find a clip of this but couldn't.
However, you can preview the song on iTunes.

Here is a clip........
Thanks for that Mac. I could see that clip but when I tried to play it, it always came with "video unavailable".
Hope it works ok for Kathrin.

The whole album is very good. There are a few tracks in this vein.
I hope it does well although in today's market that's probably unlikely. People (like Quo fans) will choose 'their' artist and download a song I imagine.

I HATE GEMA !! fish-head-smash-smiley-emoticon
(Not allowed to watch it and all I know from Frankie is Darlin' which was massive back then)

I bought the CD.... yes, for the 1 song including Francis Rossi . Pre-ordered when I first read about it. Still fond of holding a record instead of downloading single tracks.

It's easy and convenient to download but I'd rather have the cd in my hands and be able to read the booklet with the lyrics and credits. Re the cd. I'm not a fan of Huey Lewis but I think the song that he's recorded with Frankie is absolutely brilliant.

It's very nice, slow and steady boogie, nice solo from Francis :-)
