Agree with Ive - it's one of the best songs from a rather underwhelming album.
It's Andy's song though ! Only Rick had to sing it, because Andy hadn't been announced a band member publicly (and even after that happened he wasn't accepted as a singer), but Andy was cheated out of part of the royalties too. He had written the song without Rick for a solo album. Why Rick had to be added to the credits was purely down to band politics - so Rick won't oppose and gets a big enough royalty share from the album - IMO.

The rest is tripe....even this Linda with her long legs.... Anyone else remember when they did this live? Oh, What A Night that is. They certainly did in 1979 but I'm not sure how long it lasted. It was gone by '81. Never ever heard a bootleg of it live. We're getting one or two old 70's gigs released these days but none seem to contain anything unusual. Except maybe Claudie or Is It Really Me/Gotta Go Home. As for dear old Linda and her lengthy pins, she was OK. |

It was in LA, the yanks are different (and the times were different  ) .. their kids get their drivers license aged a mere 15/16 too. Maybe Bob would know more about it ? He doesn't post much these days .. |
