Rossi would have got (even more) slated than he so often does, had this been his "project". Cheese, gimmick, embarrassing, Quo-lite, broken legacy, Panto Quo ...... But it was Rick's, so it's ok Me, I luvvit whatever. Quo does fun superbly, as they so very often do. That's always been a huge factor in the Quo appeal, and Rossi is overall the best by a mile for that, imo.

Dismiss the positive and highlight anything you find negative. And it's the opposite with Rick. All impartiality goes out of the window.

And it's the opposite with Rick. All impartiality goes out of the window. When I think of Rossi from 84 onwards, I can in the main only see failure, for example, seemingly can't be arsed attitude, dictating what musical direction the band took, mainly poor written material, guitar solo's which ruin original solo's, solo material put on Quo albums,,,,, my honest belief is that Rossi hasnt really wanted Quo for years, but had no choice other than to carry on with it,,, the only positive I have seen is proof he can still play guitar like he once used to (the FF reunion gigs) when he can be arsed to. As for Rick, obviously lack of written material wasnt good, but imvho Ricks biggest mistake was not sticking by Alan & not leaving when Alan did, although I understand his reasons for not doing so, but that still don't make it right to me anyway
