To be honest as it was unreleased it and Better Times should have gone on TW. They were better than some of the tracks on there "cough" "Cough" "Restless".

AHA! so basically you are agreeing with me then, somewhat of a novelty on this board of er, selective people who still think its SQ I will on that as I have always disliked Restless

It wouldn't fit on TW (which says more about TW than Heavy Daze!)
Could have fit on RTYD.
Great song!

Fabulous song from the days when Rick still had a terrific voice. It was never really made clear why this - and Better Times - never made an album. Or indeed why they've never been remastered. I remember some feeble excuse about them being from "a different recording session" or something. And? This song was pencilled in as the b-side for the aborted Fakin' The Blues single but it really should have made an official appearance by now. The remastered Rock 'Til You Drop album might have been ideal. Or the new vinyl rarities LP from the box set. Then again, a fan club only release is perfectly acceptable to me and others. I am a walking contradiction.

I am a walking contradiction. They both have made an offical apperance on the Rocker's Rollin 4 cd box set from 2001. Supposedly remastered, what I don't understand is why they were also dropped when Fakin The Blues was aborted. There was nothing stopping them being the B sides to Rock Til You Drop, they might have actually helped it chart higher as Quo fans would have bought it for the new tracks. There was not room on the remastered RTYD to fit Dead In The Water, Mysteries From The Ball, Heavy Daze and Better Times. They would have needed a 2nd disc.

Love this and to me anyway, this is a Quo song.
At that time, I never thought that I'd ever hear this type of Quo song ever again.
What's wrong with sticking at what you're good at?

Or so they say. But look how many tracks there were on the remastered Don't Stop, Thirsty Work and Famous In The Last Century. Just an observation.

They didn't have a 13 min 4500 times on them, the running time for the original 16 track RTYD is 75 mins. You can only get 80 mins on a CD.
