Was also the B side to Marguerita Time. Should I be a bit embarrassed that this was the first Quo single I ever bought when I was 9!

The Aquostic II version isn't really that different from the original one. I even prefer the outro on A II to the original one.. shut the back door !!! yer avin a bubble aint ya.

I'm just so glad Rick played on A II. It's the last ever album he's on, and I love to hear him sing and play his songs here one last time. Agree - it's one of the best songs from A2

The 1982 album was like a nightmare to me when it came out. Such a disappointment ! Resurrection melody and format was a poor Quo by numbers imo. No offence to anyone I just hated the whole album. The build up in interviews for that album built my hopes up so much and when I first put it on the turntable I just went into shock !

The build up in interviews for that album built my hopes up so much I know exactly what you mean.
Rick said in an interview prior to release, something along the lines of "this is the best album we've made since Piledriver" and that got me eager to get the album.
And then it was released...........
I know they've got to promote it and they can't say "it's not very good, in fact, it's dreadful" but Rick was guilty of over egging the pudding there.

one of my fav Quo-tracks. Not if Lancaster had sung it it wouldnt be, you are so very predictable Out of the 100s of Quo tracks you were able to predict that Resurrection was one of Fisherman's favourites (as that's all he said ) ? I'm impressed :oo: .. .. on the other hand, going by his tag line, I'd have guessed the same . .. and A1 + A2 as bad as 1982 ? Not nearly, not even A2 !

My sister adores Resurrection; one of her all time faves. I like the old and the new versions personally. 1+9+8+2 isn't a brilliant album, I agree, but I'd take most of it over several others since. The two Aquostic albums being neither. I do like Get Out And Walk and I Should Have Known - a lot. So I can't criticise it too much. I always wondered who played slide on the original version (and the new one if I'm honest coz it's great). I thought it might have been Andy but I don't know. I just think it isn't Francis. Not his bottleneck style at all.
