Why does the remix turn it from a skip song to an ok song? I think it improves it, but does it change the song that much?

The remix has improved most of the album for me, certainly this one!

The only song from the album that I still can't stand is You Don't Own Me. I can even tolerate Let's Ride these days ..
.. and I've only come to like Too Far Gone since I've heard the metal version from Godslave - which I still prefer
