Now I'm tempted...Stated Quo at The Distiller's, Hammersmith 2013/14 were excellent.

Yet again though, we don't know for sure if it WILL be the last ever... The talk of the odd special just makes it difficult to judge. If it is the last ever electric set I would like to be there, especially with Stated beforehand, but as kursaal said, it will make things awkward being so close to Christmas....

I doubt that's what it is .. It may be the place to be for the pre-gig meet-up and entertainment, but it won't be the last ever electric gig. I fully expect them to continue to play electric sets at summer festivals. In a way that's the logical consequence from the way the set has developed over the last years: A shortened set doesn't matter when there are various (support) acts and the hits set may not appeal to longterm fans, but it's exactly what a festival crowd wants to hear. Quo are a festival band now IMO.

It'll be a chance to say a goodbye to the fans whom I've made friendships with along the way! The Cavern gig in the afternoon should be a blast and an excuse for a few beers beforehand! Bit of a nightmare travelling home on Christmas Eve though but a problem's only a problem if you decide to make it a problem....

Should be a good day out. I just hope it isn't stopped by the same weather which brought christmas to a halt in these regions last time round...

I wonder if the BBC are planning to broadcast the last concert of the tour live from Liverpool.

I wonder if the BBC are planning to broadcast the last concert of the tour live from Liverpool. I would hope so but I think it's unlikely. The BBC don't seem to do this kind of thing anymore (apart from Glastonbury obviously) but I suppose we'll just need to wait and see. In these days of cutbacks, I'd imagine the cost of doing this would be too prohibitive.

I wonder if the BBC are planning to broadcast the last concert of the tour live from Liverpool. Ask them about it in an e-mail ! Maybe they simply need to be made aware ..
