and little it will be.
Tring !! well not quite, a few miles away, the Court Theatre is down a country lane all on its own. A nice building, compact. A bar area at the front, then into the stage area. All the seats had been taken out, reckon you could get 500 standing. I like the timber vaulted roof.
For us it was a 80 mile return journey. Decided to get a cab,£100 return fare, well money should be shared around, don't yer know
No checking our tickets, wandered straight in. Why do places insist on selling only Becks lager, it's not even a proper mouth wash ??? Sorry purists I don't drink bitter and I can honestly say I have never touched a short in my life. That sounded dodgy :lolflg:
The Charge had already started, a good band, a few decent songs in there.
No State of Quo, as Rhino told us Paul Carr has had a heart attack. Don't know you, but get well soon from us
About 8.50 on come Rhino and his team, 3 songs on the bounce, then a little bit of chat. A few Status Quo songs thrown in at various parts of the set, Gravy Train, Jam Side Down, Bellavista Man, as they started this a fella in drag ran on and started jigging, obviously a surprise to the band, apparently it was their driver, due to the laughter of the band the song became a bit of an instrumental. Tracks that stand out from both gigs we have seen, One Note Blues, My Name Is Stan, lick his balls 'cos he can, enter that for the Eurovision, you would walk it Rhino , Famous, actually quite liked them all.
Rhino is good with the audience, and not only from last night, but in general, he is well liked WE won't get shot at dawn by the dark side for saying that will we
Last night, with the intimate crowd, was a good gig almost like the band turn up at your house and set about playing, enjoyed it.
Encore was Paper Plane , then all over, finished about 10.10. Not normally a clock watcher, but could not avoid the clock in the bar. Had a few drinks after, said hello to Leon, what a nice man he is, very unassuming.
Our driver had stayed on in the car park, said he watched a film,,,,technology eh,
Home about mid night, bloody hell, clock watching again
Hot crumpets and a cup of tea, a fitting end to a nice night.

Thanks again, Curly. And I agree with you, Rhino is definitely good with the audience. How was the Dutch gig, btw? Thanks Inna. Due to one thing and another we never made it.. But had a great time in Amsterdam. Back home on Good Friday at 5ish, pm. Then out with our boys and wives to see tribute bands, Rammlied and Mentallica, party Saturday, then Rhino Sunday. Oh this Rock and Roll lifestyle.

But good to hear you had a great time in Amsterdam. I love it there, too. I was there again only recently. I think your rock'n'roll lifestyle sounds fantastic. I admire your stamina. Rammlied?! Did they put on a pyromaniac show like their idols as well? Where they played , a club, The Tropic, near us holds about 300 maximum. I think the promoter would have passed out if they had lit up I have seen Rammstein about 2 years ago with our eldest Jaimie, he is a big fan. I had never heard them before that night, but the bugger never told me they sing only in German, except one song. He's ok he can speak German, or get by German as he calls it. Still enjoyed the gig. Plenty of passion there and some great riffs.

Thanks for the gig report . I went to Deest.... but been to busy to do a gig report. In a note shell: glad I went - different but enjoyed it.... great to meet the band... Anyway, you probably saw them by now, but I filmed a few songs (change to HD to watch!): Start of the concert (One Note Blues): end of the concert (Two Way Traffic ): Gravy train:

Thanks for the videos, Rosi. Did you buy the CD at the merch stand that night? We did when we went to see Rhino's Revenge in Duisburg two weeks ago, and I think all the songs are really, really good. My favourites are All The Girls Love A Bastard, Secretary, Cougar, My Name Is Stan , Busy Doing Nothing and Black Widows. Who were the support band when you went to see RR? We saw Pure Quo, and they were absolutely great. You're welcome Inna Glad to share them with those who appreciate it. Yes, I bought the Ltd. Edt. CD. When I read your report from Duisburg and noticed the number you bought I was worried there would be none left on the day I'd be at the concert. Thankfully there were as I got nr. 423 – a friend got one in the 300’s…. so it is clear they weren’t sold “on number”. Can't really say which ones are my favourites as it changes .... Support act was Voltage (Helmond - Netherlands) - which were "OK"…. Friends thought they were "great". They will release their CD next week. Got their EP ('The Story So Far') - because there is a Quo cover on it: ROLD! - not on the online version though: voltage4.bandcamp.com/album/the-story-so-far
