What a great night for 13 quid.
The gig was in aid of the Kilbarchan Pipe Band Associationon
First up were the Charge, with Freddie and Max Edwards. They played a really rocking enjoyable 25 minutes of original rocking material.
Next up were local covers band 10 Bob Sliders who played an enjoyable selection of familiar songs.
Then the Pipers came on for a couple of tunes before the main attraction.
The gig kicked off with the storming One Note Blues. This is a corker which i'd love to see Quo tackle.
Without going through every song, Two Way Traffic was fab and it was great to hear Jam Side Down.
And as I was right at the front, Rhino pointed the mike at me for a couple of lines of Obstruction Day( I think I got away without inflicting too much earache on the audience!)
And the big surprise for many at the end- the pipers came back on to join the band for Burning Bridges! I
All in all, a cracking gig , great value for money and a great vibe in the room.
Had the pleasure of taximan's company and also met Tracey , Glasquo( and Nudebook) , the couple from liverpool ( I think) and one or two others.
Such was the fun element of the night that Nudebook gave Rhino one of his medallions to wear mid gig!!
And some woman just wandered ion stage and gave Rhino a kiss!!
Great night!!
