Hello everyone
As nobody mentioned anything about the concert in the Rodahal.... I thought I gave it a go (first time I create a thread on here.....)
Arrived at the Rodahal round 3pm. Only 2 people were already waiting.
Decision was easily made: we decided to stay and wait and not go to the Rock Temple as some people, including friends of ours would do.
I suppose I do not have to tell you it was VERY cold!
Thankfully there was a roof overhead (I believe someone posted a picture off the hall in the German thread?), but still, our feet were getting really cold.
Other people joined us and someone told me they were having their sound check and you could see them through a small opening in the door. I went to have a look and first saw Rick :rp:and then Francis  came in sight.
Though they rehearsed “Don’t Waste My Time” it was not in the setlist (see further).
After 7pm we were finally allowed inside and after the scan of our ticket we could run and a great spot in the middle at the front was claimed “mine”.
First we got the Voodoovegas band, not really my thing....
After that everything was put in place for the moment we all (I assume) waited for: Quo live!
When they brought the microphones, it seemed that Francis would be more to my left. But that would proof to be OK as now I would be able to take “a few” :whistle:pictures without having his mike in the way.
There seemed to be a problem with Andy's gear and they were busy solving it (or trying to as it seems it was loud at times) and they started around 9.15pm.
No curtain here either, but we saw them coming out of the backstage and waiting at the side of the stage.
The Drone started, we started to shout :yeah:and they came on stage.
Francis & Rick picked up their guitars and as usual Rick started.
It is great to get some reaction - especially from FR. The interaction with him…. Well, it is fun to point when he sings certain sentences and/or get a look / smile f.i. in Caroline (I won't write the words down )….. I also managed to get a thumbs up from him early in the concert !
Rick looked slender and healthier. He came a few times just in front of me and he seemed to have a great time, smiling more than before.
Going to a Quo concert is always a good workout . Though the people next to me were not of the jumping kind, I just had to during f.i. Hold You Back .
Here are a few songs and the 1st Francis talk where he makes a remark on people talking during the concert.... (what's the use of going to a concert if you keep on chatting :confused4:)
First there is paper plane - at 4 minutes there is the 'Rossi talk" followed by Little Lady:
It was over way too soon, but to hear Oh Baby! live again was just great! Ever since I first heard that song live on the FF tour in 2013 I have a soft spot for it. On the album I thought it was “OK”, but live it just has that something extra.
Setlist:
Caroline
SBYBIL
Rain
Paper Plane
______
Little Lady
Hold You Back
Beginning of the End
Oh Baby
_________
Proposing Medley (What You’re Proposin’ – Down the Dustpipe – Wild Side of Life – Railroad – Big Fat Mama)
