Just got back from Lingen. I'm still on a high. And quite deaf. The band was on fire. The venue was packed. Quo got some great response from the crowd ("It's got tits", said Francis), and gave their best accordingly. They were all smiles and full of energy. They looked great and were in a very good mood. The sound was a bit dodgy in places, and Rick got the shakes when he started the intro to Whatever You Want, and everybody had a laugh. But all in all it was very loud and heavy. They blew the roof off the Arena. I didn't want it to end, but it was over in a flash. It felt so good seeing them like that again. And, as already mentioned in the German Tour thread, they added Something 'bout You Baby I Like to the set, but left Most Of The Time out again. Lou Gramm and his band might have been great, too. I can't tell because all I could hear was the guitar blaring out of the Marshalls. I couldn't make out the bass or the keyboards, or the drums, come to that, and at first you couldn't even hear Lou sing. I felt a bit sorry for them because they appeared to be playing brilliantly. But the sound was awful. Maybe it was better further back, but it surely wasn't at the front. To be continued... Thank you Inna Loud and heavy? Sounds superb!! Good to read that you enjoyed the night and thank you for taking the time to post. That post gig feeling is excellent, isn't it?

Great that you had a fantastic night, Inna. Hope your ears will recover soon. So the impression from the latest youtube is right and the band is in top form. Hope that they will keep that momentum for Kathrin and Curly in Mannheim My experience with support acts usually was the opposite: they had the better sound compared to Quo. But I usually did not stand up front.

Now that was quick, Inna - you must've come on here straight after your return back home - I'm impressed (don't expect the same from us on Monday though .. ) Sounds just like a standard Quo gig: a brilliant night out ! Attendance obviously was great as well as opposed to the gigs in the east. Mannheim is as near as sold out as well, only a few single seats left. What about the encore ? Going by the videos Rick does look fit and healthy again .. Shame about LG's sound problems, but good to know that at least Quo did sound good

Fantastic review, Inna. Hope your high continues a bit longer. And maybe in a year or so you'll be able to prove that other feeling wrong and go to see them once again
