You know, those big, bl ack, flat things with a "groove".... Did you ever wear any out? I did! My first copy of Piledriver and my Dark Side of the Moon albums! In the end I played them both so many times they just wore out!!! :confused2:

Nope never, I've got a few with scratch marks, but that's about it. Cassettes on the other hand .. (I've got an honorary doctorate in cassette-doctoring) :lolflg:

I've worn CDs out, but vinyl I tend to take more care of.
I got most of my Quo LPs from the same shop where someone had taken their entire record collection and dumped it... I got everything from Ma Kelley's to Back To Back from there.

Been giving a few pieces of vinyl a bit of a blast today. Accept - Kaizoku Ban, Siouxsie & The Banshees - Join Hands, Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road...vinyl still sounds great.

Didn't need to wear them out - some of those RCA 'microgroove' hour long pressings only needed to see air and they filled with dust and became almost unplayable. Never wore one out though.

Of course if they do wear out, you could always do this...
