Will probably see John Fogerty in July (next week) and Rival Sons supported by the swedish band Graveyard in November. Both gigs in Gothenburg, the first one outdoors, the second on indoors

Definitely: Tears for Fears (finally!!!!!!!!) Mark Knopfler (last chance to see him, I guess) QuoStill considering: ZZ Top Midnight Oil Men at Work King Crimson Eric Clapton (sadly a bit out of my price range) Phil Collins (ditto) Ludwigsburg ? Yep! I've now been to ZZ Top and MK and deeply regret not going to Midnight Oil and Men at Work. Did I mention I'll be seeing Tears for Fears in Bruchsal this Saturday?

You know the venue (parking, how long does it take to get there from the A81 ..) ? We've never been there, all we know of Ludwigsburg is the chateau and gardens ..

Bit far away but last night I purchased a couple of tickets for gigs that are back to back in October, Gloryhammer on the Friday night and Saxon on the Saturday. Down in London at, Heaven (never heard of it before) and Hammersmith, so that should be a good weekend away.

I've seen Rock Meets Classic there with Frame & the rest, so I've been at the venue! Can't talk about parking or getting there by car - but getting there by train is extremely easy! You basically walk out of the station, across the street & you're there... probably the shortest foot journey I've ever had to any gig...! Unfortunately the sound wasn't very good at RMC, but with only five guys on stage instead of an entire orchestra, maybe things will be better...

Pink bigger than The Who? It's a different world!! I'd have thought the O2 or Wembley Arena would have been more their level now. The age of the audience is always a factor because most people of a certain vintage just cannot be ar$ed any more I'm a Who's Next fan myself. Never really took to any other album. One of those bands whose singles always seemed to be outstanding but their albums didn't come up to scratch. For me anyway. Sales of Tommy and Quadrophenia would suggest I'm in the minority though. As usual I should have done a little update on the Who. Well as I thought Wembley Stadium was far from full, however there was still a really good atmosphere. Eddie Vedder was surprisingly excellent in his solo outing. Cracking version of Crazy Little Thing Called Love. The Who played quite a few things I didn't really know, however I have to say I thought they were brilliant. Daltrey's voice was spot on and Townsend's banter was fun. They played for the most part with an orchestra which added to the sound. Would I have paid the £139 it would have cost for a ticket? No way, but as freebies go this was a bloody good one.

I might have Rammstein next year in Cardiff. Stepdaughter's idea because she has at least one spare ticket (not sure; all very vague ) but she's pi$$ing about at the moment and it's all gone quiet since yesterday. I'm not bothered either way but she wanted rid of the ticket and asked if me and her mum wanted to go. That's it for the moment!

I'll pick up Rammestein at some point. Seen 'em before, but really fancy a European gig. I'll see how it fits in with my touring schedule.
Clutch at Leeds is a definite.
Seeing NF in Manchester in March.

I'm going to see myself on Sunday performing, that doesn't count does it? Apparently I'm seeing Wayne Hussey from the mission in a few weeks and next month going to see Muse in Birmingham

I’m going to see Oaklahoma in a couple of weeks and then Woman in Black as previously mentioned. Rock n Roll eh 😁 I’m probably going to see Jim Jones and the Righteous minds next month. I still haven’t decided about Gary Numan yet either. Bit thin on the ground at the moment.
I need to sort something as there is a lot coming to Southampton towards the end of the year.

Her Maj and I are going into the West End next Saturday to see "Six the Musical".
Working on a foreign gig in the New Year, but that needs Royal Assent.

If I'm honest, the music was a little too modern for me, but still I enjoyed it. Worth going to see. The Arts Theatre is a great little venue - Her Maj and I sat at the back (row M) and still got a great view of the stage. The New Year gig has been granted Royal Assent. I'm planning on seeing my brother in Melbourne FL in Feb - my first trip to USA. Just so happens that Joe Bonamassa is in town at the same time. How about that?!

I see Mr Rossi is playing the Cheltenham Literature Festival next month. I say 'playing' but I guess I mean talking. I don't have any gigs in the pipeline. I see a few that I fancy going to but I never get round to it these days. Everything feels like an effort However, Band of Skulls are playing Edinburgh on 17 November so I really should make the effort. Because I like them a lot. Their latest album is a belter. I'll see if I can drag Mrs Mortified and/or sis along. I suspect I'll have to use bribery though. Something like a nice bottle of fizz or a meal to keep them sweet while I take in the music

Mid-October our string of chamber music concerts is going to start again. Usually it reaches till spring. Was able to convince my mum to come along - looking forward to it.

Al Stewart @ Union Chapel, Islinbgton Tonight. I'm going to this gig under duress with my brother-in-law. He begged me to go with him, but I really wasn't interested. Joe Bonamassa @ Melbourne, FL (USA) 16 Feb 2020 I wanted to go to Florida to see by baby brother, so when I saw that JB was on in his town... Queen and Adam Lambert @ O2 Arena, London 9 Jun 2020

Midge Ure at Birmingham Town Hall in a couple of weeks. Absolutely superb gig, did the whole Vienna album along with Visage stuff with Rusty Egan and other solo and Ultravox stuff. Will definitely go and see him again.

Al Stewart, Islington.
I wasn't as disinterested as I feared, but I'm still not a fan. He was OK, his backing band was also the support band. For the final song of the set, The Year of the Cat, original drummer Stuart Elliott came on. Huge gulf in class between him and the band's drummer.
Didn't Francis Rossi do a gig at the Union Chapel recently with Hannah Rickard?

Just bought tickets the other day for Simple Minds at the Hydro Glasgow next year. Home gig so should be a good atmosphere. It’s as Saturday so a good excuse to turn it into a long weekend there. Tickets for seating were a bit steep starting at £50 though I thought as it’s standing on the floor. Peter Gabriel is supporting on some of the European Tour but not sure about UK leg. Hope it’s good support for that Price !
