Spice Girls at the Etihad this coming Saturday. I saw a pic of them on my BBC News app yesterday. Didn't realise they were touring. I did notice, though, that Victoria Beckham wasn't in the photo; there was just the four of them. Is this a Take That without Robbie parallel? Take That and Spice Girls stadium tours well into the 21st century? So much for things not lasting

June is a busy month for me gig wise! Spice Girls at the Etihad this coming Saturday. Not really my cup of tea, was the wifes xmas present. At £150 a ticket I shall do my best to enjoy it. Then I start a run of three nights at the Manchester Arena later in the month: 26 June - Eagles 27 June - Quo/Skynyrd (I refuse to put them the other way round)28 June - Westlife Funny how it's panned out that way, we've ended up booking a hotel and stopping over. Manchester isn't far for us but it seemed daft to keep travelling back and forth every night. Still on the look out for someone to go and see when we're in New York in July, sadly we land a few days after Billy Joel plays Madison Square Gardens Looking forward to your report, although the set will be shortened, so I don't really expect surprises. I actually wonder how many are going to leave after Quo ? I'd so love to see Billy too. He's one of my favourite acts. Did you know that his dad is from Vienna and Billy still speaks passable German ? I'll watch a bit of Skynyrd but to be honest apart from their obvious hits and the their Last of a Dying Breed album I don't know much about them. If they are good I'll stay if not I'll be on the long journey home.

I did make the effort and purchase their Greatest Hits but I couldn't get into it. You'd imagine though that one (or both) of those songs will come towards the end, maybe as part of the encore, in which case I'll just carry on supping and clap politely.

I haven't got any more gigs planned in the future yet, but we are booked up to see the Woman In Black stage play later on this year.
Also Gary Numan is playing locally later on this year and I am considering going to see him. Not sure yet.

Twice! 2001 and 2002. She was superb, mate. Honest. Although better the first time which is why I went again a year later. Her, eh, Spinning Around and Can't Get You Out Of My Head days. La, la, la.... Just a word of caution though. Make sure you have your Pride sash or badge on. It's not what you'd call a 100% heterosexual gig. And we're not talking lesbians with Doc Martens and shaved heads; if you catch my drift

We are now going in a big family group to introduce others, I can’t wait. Yeah, when that happens, you have to just come out and start again. Its done it to me a few times. I think it happens if you backspace too far; even when you think you haven't. But once the cursor is above that line, there's no fixing it.

If you backspace including the first letter you've written underneath a quote, the cursor jumps into the quote and there's no way out. Better mark the wrong text and overwrite it. This way you don't have to start again from before quoting.

Dilemma - Clutch are playing London in December 2 days after Cats in Space. Not so much the cost of tickets but more the cost of train travel. Seen both recently so not sure which to pick. Oh to be young and not give a toss about money!!

Never seen Clutch. They always seem interesting though. Almost strange! Col of this parish is a huge fan. I know what you mean though. I can no longer go to my dad and say 'lend me a fiver till pay day'

Thought I'd done this already. Thanks to my lovely partner I can now do both Clutch and Cats in Space as she is buying me tickets for my birthday. Not only that she won 2 tickets to see the Who at Wembley Stadium through her sky vip membership. Unfortunately she is working away from home for 2 weeks so I'm going on my ownsome.

Bit like Quo these days. Not many original members left. Wembley Stadium seems like a large venue. Didn't think The Who could pull in that sort of crowd these days. Just goes to show.

Judging by the tickets still available it looks like it will be far from sold out. Glad I haven't paid the £139 it would have cost me if I really wanted to go. Not a huge Who fan (love the Who Are You album and obviously all the well known tracks), but when you get a ticket for nothing it has to be worth going. My first thought when I saw them announce Wembley was that they would never fill it, but then I thought the same about Pink and apparently she sold the place out last Saturday (great if you like lip syncing).

Pink bigger than The Who? It's a different world!! I'd have thought the O2 or Wembley Arena would have been more their level now. The age of the audience is always a factor because most people of a certain vintage just cannot be ar$ed any more I'm a Who's Next fan myself. Never really took to any other album. One of those bands whose singles always seemed to be outstanding but their albums didn't come up to scratch. For me anyway. Sales of Tommy and Quadrophenia would suggest I'm in the minority though. As usual
