I went to the Britpop Must Be Destroyed gig at the weekend and it was a fantastic night and great value with 4 great bands for the price of £34
Dodgy were ok, probably the weakest of the bunch, Terrovision were brilliant with fantastic catchy rock songs and a frontman who really controlled the crowd, The Wildhearts were a full-on metal assault in places with catchy choruses and lovely harmonies in others, brilliant live.
The surprise act of the night for me was Reef as I didn't think I would like them too much, apart from the obvious "Place Your Hands" single. The singer has an amazing voice and at times sounded like Brian Johnson of AC/DC and in others was hitting high notes like a Bee Gee. Full on Rock, Blues and even Gospel in places.
See a couple of tracks below from their new album, check it out.

Had not heard of any of the bands before. Nice tracks though - both have that nod to gospel with the singer's voice reminding me of Frankie Miller in the first one. The second just starts as good time rock'n'roll before turning more gospel, the lyrics more obvious gospel though. Can well imagine how a live performance of theirs is very entertaining. - and I love the title 'Britpop Must Be Destroyed'
