Little Lady and Rain played with a studio band, with a funny and poignant interview (talking about doing a solo album) with Rick Wakeman in the middle.
Enjoy.

The timing is interesting - Rick already going solo before the EOTR tour. And wearing jacket and tie .. Rick Wakeman already had short hair in 83 - nearly didn't recognised him, with that ugly 'tache too. Both drinking wine and Rick smoking on telly - different times they were .

All over the place lyrically. Of course! Loved that trait in him It's a bit grainy. I was trying to see if I recognised any of the other members of the band but I couldn't tell. Initially I thought the bassist was Martin Kemp of Spandau Ballet but I'm pretty sure it wasn't. I notice Rick Wakemen introduced him as a drinking buddy. Mr Parfitt drank with the best of them Ta for sharing. Don't recall the programme at all. Probably didn't get it up here in the conservative tundra.

Gastank was an English television show that aired between 1982–1983 in the United Kingdom on Channel 4. Hosted by former Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman,[1] the show featured a mix of interviews with 1970s musicians and impromptu performances where the guest artist would join Wakeman and his house band in playing re-arranged versions of their classic songs, or entirely new pieces created for the show. The format was very informal with the setting likened to a bar where Wakeman would interview the guest over a drink or two followed by their performance in front of a small studio audience sitting in groups at tables. Wakeman would frequently cite the show as an opportunity for musicians from different bands to get the opportunity to work together. During its run, the show featured guests as diverse as Ian Paice, Steve Hackett, Andy Fairweather Low, John Entwistle, Godley and Creme, Eric Burdon and Phil Lynott.
Not sure you had Channel 4 in Scotland by 1983!

I know, it was commonplace to smoke on TV whilst being interviewed....it's strange when you see it now! And in offices!
