www.youtube.com/watch?v=06p03cjJlR0I have never seen it before. Nevertheless I can not understand half of what Rossi is talking about (english is not my mother tongue and Francis (contrary to Rick) speaks in a way that it is very difficult to understand him). Is he saying something about playing Hammersmith and that it would be fun? (around 16-17 minute)

He says it would be fun to do two or three Hammersmiths. The interview may have been published last week but it obviously took place before the reunion tour was announced. Chances are this was late 2012 during the winter tour. He got his wish about Hammersmith but then he probably knew at the time that it was all being planned. It's also quite evident that Rick was still alive as he speaks of him in the present tense. His remarks about Alan and John are quite interesting. He obviously doesn't get on that well with John Coghlan and hasn't for many years but seems very happy to be around Alan. Quite a good interview actually. When he gets going, he just talks and talks!

Yep, must've been before or around the first FF tour. During the second he had nothing but praise for John. cayan - you can get used to his accent - mostly I find him easy to understand, but not always and everything. And remember there have been countless threads over the years started by Brits wondering what's been said on this or that recording 'Sheriff's coming .. '

Isn't that an Alan Parker Interview done for the Hello Quo Doc. mortified mentions about him not getting on with John, I don't think its that, I thinks its just he isn't anywhere as close with John as he was with Alan. Good Clip tho. Thanks Cayan

Nowhere near as good as the one John Keeling did. The only thing worth watching is the jam. I love it. Must be me feeling nostalgic ..

One of the problems with the Hello Quo film was it's sheer length. By the time we got to Francis and Alan wandering round old haunts, my concentration span had done it's own wandering There is an edited version for TV that turns up now and again.

I thought Francis and Alan walking round was just on the extras. Was it on the main (full length) documentary?

I did think the original film was way too long though. Then again, if I watched two discs, no wonder! :oo:

Yeah I think Francis & Alan together was definitely on the bonus disc. If you remember, the documentary ended with them meeting up for the first time in years and jamming together at Sheperton. The film itself was long enough though like you say! That's probably why they edited it for Sky Arts.

As far as I remember Francis and Alan walking around their old neighbourhood, Rick's meeting the twins and the 'jam' at Shepperton were the extras. Basically the only thing worth watching from that doc - the original film is too long and boring, at least for fans IMO. Much prefer the documentary from John Keeling.

I can only say what I think, but am surprised you loved it. Thought it mostly repeated what we had already read/heard 100s of times before. The JK doc on the other hand that contrasted it with a recording session - the only time we were allowed a glimpse at that - is much more entertaining - again IMO.

To be honest, I cant think of a SQ documentary I haven't enjoyed, and there have been a few of them,
