I know my English is lousy, but I think my words are clear: My opinion is not common sense, neither is yours or any others. Everybody have their own opinions and of course everybody can express them. But as far as I can see on this board you are the only one here, who try to riducule opinions, which aren't yours, with belittling remarks and gremlins. And yes, I never made a secret about my opinion of Lancaster. With a few exceptions I don't like Alan Lancaster's songs, mainly because of two reasons: His voice and the - IN MY OPINION - constrained structure. But I do like ILR&R for example. And I feel free appreciating him as a founder-member of Quo and thinking his input is overrated at the same time. So, and now? And I don't like some of his remarks about Quo given in various interviews after his departure. All in all, I am not a big fan of him. So, and now? Sacrilege?, Reason enough for belittling comments? Wouldn't it be better to discuss this in a friendly way for example? Ive, surely I am wrong feeling another little attempt of bullying me like you did with some 4 or 5 certains friends of yours on the other message-board purporting I made jokes about the illness of Alan Lancaster. This is not true and nobody except those 4 or 5 "special" members of the original mb and the other mb were dull enough imputing me with this. On this board thankfully (and hopefully) you don't get the support for this infamous lie. So, Ive, let's see wether we can discuss in an adult and friendly way or not. You sincerely are invited. Have to say , nothing wrong with yer English. Ah, the bully card is played, again, one you often used to play when challenged over some of your past disgraceful comments, you know the comments you say are lies, I will say no more about it, other than I know what I read as posted by you, I reckon many others are also still aware of it too. As for opinions, yeah some make me laugh etc, but likewise I'm sure that many of my own opinions are laughable to others too Good idea ! I was one of those who actually read his posts about Alan as I was there too. All he ever said was, that Alan was a handicapped person. Nothing disgraceful or insulting about that, just a sad fact of life. Fisherman just isn't one who insults others. And he is right about the bullying too. It did happen and not just to him, but to others with a similar dislike of Alan's voice and songwriting as well. It won't happen here though ! 107z

As for opinions, yeah some make me laugh etc, but likewise I'm sure that many of my own opinions are laughable to others too Ive, unfortunately again wrong you are. I NEVER ever played "the bully-card" on the old/other mb, it were some other members then, who noticed a kind of bullying by the "special dozen". I for myself could live with it very well. And again, there have been no disrespectful remarks from me regarding Lancaster's illness, so nobody could have been "aware of it". Nevertheless I have absolutely no problem admitting that I liked holding up the mirror to those who started creating the term "cabaret Quo" regarding their musical output after 85 and especially Rhino. Applause, approval, frenetic laughter, calling Francis a back-stabber, ridiculing the outfit of a Quo-member aso. I never forget the reaction when I postet something like "The only thought who springs to mind when hearing Status Quo and cabaret within the same sentence, was Lancaster's macho-posing, macho outfit, grim face etc." Bang! The reaction of the same, who were ridiculing Rhino and post 85 Quo just before was debunking, amazing and I really had a lot of fun. This probably was the most "disgraceful" thing I posted about Lancaster. And to be honest, for equity's sake, I would do this again. But on this mb thank God there is no need for the "mirror", because as far as I can see, all members on here are discussing civilized and don't belittle members of Quo or their music, doesn't matter from which decade. THE difference to some other message-boards in the net.

THE difference to some other message-boards in the net. Yes indeed, I too remember the cabaret Quo/Panto Quo labels given at the time, I didn't agree with those labels at the time, neither did I agree with all the Rhino bashing that happened. I think Lancaster fitted perfectly into the role/image of the band, not the Rossi poppy band you and a few others wanted, and now have finally got, thats FRQ by the way, I also recall your comments about, what was then a possible FF reunion, it wouldn't sell, no interest etc etc, amongst other comments I read by a small selective few, who instantly shut up and realised how stupid they looked when the FF reunion was confirmed. Ive, I don't want a "Rossi-poppy band" , just want Status Quo in it's whole history. It's a knock-out argument saying that somebody, who isn't the biggest Lancaster-fan and who is very happy the record-company then decided "no Francis-no Quo" is a genuine and exclusive lover of Quo's poppier songs. Status Quo is Status Quo, from Ma Kelly's to QPQ, from Hello to Aquostic, it is Status Quo and it is phantastic having such a diverse oeuvre of our fav-band. On the other hand, you are right and I was wrong about the interest in the FF -gigs. I am happy for those who had the opportunity to see the older line-up once again or for the first time. I for myself prefer (the reminiscence of) this particular line-up until 84 and still wouldn't go to a FF-reunion-gig, which unfortunately isn't possible anymore now. Each to their own.
