Okay, inspired by the mostly positive reactions on this board regarding Quo's acoustic concert at the Roundhouse on October 22nd, I thought I might put up a new Quo cup to keep you busy until Rich puts up the next decades cup. Here's the plot: First round: out of all the 24 songs (I decided to take Mystery Song and Little Lady as one song, because they were done in a medley style) you can pick the 10 songs you loved the most. The 10 songs that gather the most votes proceed to the... Second round: out of the 10 winners from the first round you can pick the 5 songs you loved most. The 5 songs that gather the most votes in this round proceed to the... Third round: out of the 5 winners from the second round you can pick your 2 favourite ones. The 2 songs that gather the most votes in this round proceed to the... Final decision: pick your favourite song from the two remaining contestants. Each round will be open for 2 weeks. And I will occasionally remind you on the Shoutbox (at the bottom of our board). For those of you who would like to have the opportunity to re-visit the Roundhouse gig in order to make up their minds: Here's the link to the full concert. Hope you'll enjoy this little Quo cup. Please participate in large numbers. As usual you are most welcome to share your choices with us in this thread, but your votes can be given without comment, too, of course. Please make sure to check on how many votes (10, 5, 2, or 1) you have in each round and use as much of them as you wish. Here we go. First Round starts NOW.

Apologies for mis-spelling Rollin' Home.

Here are my fav 10 for the first round: again - roll - pictures - reasons - living - home - car - na - world - drop not that there was one bad song in that set. Even those few I do not like that much on the Aquostic CD sounded okay live.

Good format Ingo
All The Reasons eh? I love the track, but don't feel I can vote for it here sadly.

How good is 'And It's Better Now'! I just think the vocals are awesome! Followed closely by the violins on POMM.
Some Stella moments on this album/gig!

Ooooh this is fun! OK... here's my votes and why.... Rock Til You Drop - this song amazed me on acoustic. Just beautiful and really stood out for me. Pictures Of Matchstick Men - always liked this, but loved it in acoustic. Claudie - same as above All The Reasons - hmmmm wasn't it lovely.... Reason For Living - yes please Marguerita Time - simply because I saw my online mate Dylan (mini quo) singing along to this on the TV, it makes me smile every time I hear it now... Don't Drive My Car - always detested this song for it's lyrics but this acoustic version made me relax and smile... can't help liking the arrangement of it Rollin' Home - always been a beauty so nothing changes there Burning Bridges... love it! Paper Plane, Again & Again, and Softer Ride... 1 of these 3 I've to pick out but would like to choose them all! Fantastic gig - well done Quo

Two biggies and a very well liked track still to register a vote. Seems like while some tracks work well in both forms. some maybe even improved upon, others are clearly best left alone

And the winners are... 1 - Pictures of matchstick men 2 - And it's better now 3 - Na na na 4 - Burning bridges 5 - (shared position) Paper Plane / Rock 'n' roll / Reason for living / Rollin' home / Rock 'til you drop 10 - Claudie As usual with Quo Cups some of the winners are unexpected (by me) and some of the non-winners are, too. I didn't expect And it's better now to be that well-liked. And I'm quite surprised that Don't drive my car didn't make it to Round 2 of the Quo Cup 26. So, now let's proceed to the next level of this contest. Watch out for Round 2 of Quo Cup 26.

I see the 10 that went to round 2 were the same 10 that I picked.

Sadly Break The Rules, Down The Dustpipe and All The Reasons are out .. 10 votes simply weren't enough. That might explain why BTR got no votes.. After watching the gig again last night it would've been among my top 10
