Good Morning,
Arrived about 7.15, lovely imposing "house"and gardens. The stage was near the bottom of the garden.
I said to our friends once, "guess what we've got at the bottom of our garden, a noisey woodpecker".
The owners of this place beat us by a country mile, and more.
Sorry, late night, I'm on a wander. !
The support was The Blockheads, got the audience going. They were good.
Lager by the bottle, £4.50. oh well.
Spitting with rain a little.
Made our way to the front, Rhino side, Country Girl on, then the drone, and bang straight into Caroline.
Then the spitting turned to pissing down and stayed with us right to the end.
where were you ?.
It was the usual set, but, I know I have said this before, the band were on "fire". They just seem to always
enjoy it. Glad Paper Plane is the 2nd song. In the medley, Wild Side of Life and Again Again, I would love
to see these done as a full version.
Straight through to Rocking all over The World. The crowd really lifted for this. The rain did not stop anyone enjoying this gig.
Encore, Rock and Roll Music/Bye Bye Johnny. about 3minutes , bung another song in lads.
That was it, still pouring, back to the car and driven home.
Roll on Zurich.
Thought I would add this,,during the Blockheads set, I went to the loo,,nice toilets by the way, as I came out, a lady came
up and said can she have photo, I said yes, thinking she wanted me to take one of her and her friend and young lad.
but she wanted it with me, then her mates turn, nice ladies. Hope I didn't disappoint when they got home and had
another look.
