Would I go again? No chance, as I have been told (by people who have been to a few) that they are pretty much identical.CM Much like Quo gigs.

Can somebody give me a quick run down of what happens during the meet and greet?

Can somebody give me a quick run down of what happens during the meet and greet? I'm not entirely sure because we've never done it but sis told me at the weekend that these meetings will now be quite restrictive with no hand shaking and (I think) Mick Wall taking any photos for you. I dare say masks will be mandatory, although I don't know for sure. I think she read all this on Facebook or somewhere.

Enjoyable night. Meet and greet was a bit different having to sit/stand a careful distance away from FR. Mick Wall took 6 or 7 piccies, and Francis signed a few things for us. He was intrigued with the 7" single of Face The Music/Crazy,Crazy, he asked if he could look inside at the vinyl, I don't think he knew anything about it Show was good, some the same as previous, some different, more guitar play this time. Glad I was there. Next up Quo in Hull March 2022.

I always get the impression that members of the band, even Francis, don't really know what's being released in terms of the music except when they're promoting a new album. All the add-ons or re-releases I suspect they haven't a clue about. Glad it was an enjoyable night

I thoroughly enjoyed last night's final show in my home city of Winchester. Francis seemed relaxed and was very funny. There was a lot of play on words (eg aroused as opposed to rousing) accompanied by various hand gestures and strange noises!!! Several times he said "I've not said this before" and he ran over time by about 40 minutes - so it lived up to the title!

Must admit, I thoroughly enjoyed the show when I saw it. Very entertaining. Mind you, it's about 2½ years ago now I think. This year's - actually, no, last year's! - never took place. Cancelled twice and then cancelled for good. He'll have been in even better form if it was the final show

Cancelled twice and then cancelled for good. He'll have been in even better form if it was the final show I think it was partly relief in having managed to complete the tour!!! I didn't buy tickets for the first scheduled Winchester show which was cancelled and rescheduled, but thought I'd go to this one. And managed to bag the last seat in the front row when I decided to go for the Super VIP package! Mick Wall seemed on good form too, so it was a very good evening with lots of laughs. He also spoke quite movingly of the experience with Rick's heart attack after the gig in Turkey in the June before he died. And the aftermath too, with Rick reverting to several years previously when he'd had his first heart attack.

When he was talking about Rick it was quite moving. And he probably isn't the most emotional person. Not outwardly anyway. The 70's I always feel were glossed over. I have no idea why but he seems to hate the fact that the band during that period are revered and put on a pedestal by many. He is nearly always dismissive of the entire era. But he admits it himself; he tends to be contradictory for the sake of it just to try and prove a point. Coronation Street is a case in point. He bangs on about it and even showed a clip at the show; most Quo fans grimaced at it. But we're used to his little ways now

Yes, Corrie was still in the show, and the 70s was not spoken about much. But this could be due to the amount of drug taking that went on, and to be honest there's been a lot of talk about the 70s in previous books anyway.
I was pleased to see that the theatre was pretty much full, although there were three seats in the front row that were empty. I know these had been sold, as I said before I got the last one, so why spend £75 on a ticket then not go I don't understand. Unless of course they had been struck by Covid, in which case I'm glad they didn't turn up. At one point the bloke next to me sneezed vey loudly, and Francis commented that this would have emptied the theatre a couple of months ago!
At the meet and greet Francis tried to encourage me to complete one of the question forms - I told him that I didn't think I would as they don't get asked!! Obviously there is a limit to how many can be asked, but I just couldn't be bothered to think of one to be honest!
