snakelady , that's actually a different solo. The live version is the original single rendition which has a very obvious Francis lead break in it. However, there's a second solo on the 12"/CD version as the song goes quiet after about 4 minutes. The extended track lasts over 7 minutes. It's this second solo that has caused some debate although, to me, it doesn't matter who played it. It's good and makes the song more interesting in my opinion. I only ever bought albums (apart from a very short period starting with You'll Come Round), so I'm simply not aware of subtleties like this. I might've heard other versions by chance, but I love the song is enough for me. Might check it out now though, so I know what you're talking about .. I am nosy ..

Stayed in Pfunds (AT) and went skiing to Nauders (AT), Ischgl (AT)/Samnaun (CH) and Schöneben (IT). Had planned to go to Serfaus (AT) too, but would've taken too long due to road works on the way. Well, we merely had 5 days, so still made the most of it I guess. First time we've been to any of those anyway. Surprisingly the biggest and most famous one was the one with the worst prepared slopes by far. Weather ranged from beautiful sunshine to snowstorm, but overall was ok. Skiing areas weren't too crowded either. Where do you go snowboarding ?

Austria is the country I've been to the most, and also my favourite in Europe. Last time we went to Mayrhofen. We went to Canada about 5 years ago though and that was also brilliant!

Been to lots of different skiing areas in Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France - as a family mostly in Austria though, as it's the cheapest (although cheap and skiing holiday definitely do not belong into the same sentence !). Know where it is, but never have been to Mayrhofen though ..
