I came across this on You Tube when I was looking for something else and bits of it look genuine. The reason I say that is because of Alan's vocal sync with the recording and also Bob Young's harmonica. I was astounded when I saw it! I never knew anything existed. I haven't watched it all the way through but I will. Some of it is obviously edited because Rick's shirt keeps changing - amongst many other things - but certainly it's worth a look. Frankly, some of the footage is stunning! The band at their very, very best - whether it's the Apollo or not. Some of it looks like it was shot from the circle. The stage at the Apollo was very high so it was much closer to the upper floors than in most theatres. So the concluding scene is definitely not Glasgow but if anyone has any info on any of it's genuineness, or otherwise, please enlighten us!

So someone has added colour to the Madrid footage then? Quite a good job. Although I didn't know that Roadhouse Blues was captured at the Madrid gig. I've seen Big Fat Mama and Claudie and a couple of others but not Roadhouse Blues. Maybe its all a montage of numerous gigs. Whatever it is, you can't take your eyes of it!

The clips have been around for a while, whoever did it, did a great job of it imvho. What does surprise me is that you have only just noticed/seen them, and you call yerself a Quo fan ?!!

I never usually look for Quo on You Tube and just use it to find music I can't get hold of elsewhere and then convert it. I was actually looking for Cheap Trick's new version of Run Rudolph Run to stick up on here because it is probably the best Christmas song I have ever heard! It's what a Christmas song should sound like. None of that It's Christmas Time bollox But there's only the whole album there at the minute. When it pitches up, I'll post it. It's brilliant.

Don't tell me you're the other Cheap Trick fan on here! On and off. They've actually got better with age I think. I love their album Bang, Zoom, Crazy...Hello which I think came out last year. It's a cracker. I've only ever seen them live once and that was WAY back in 1979.

Really liked that one, but never knew anything else from them, as nothing else charted - kind of one hit wonders .

One of the music papers gave away a sample album of various artists in about 1977, as they were prone to do back then. I think it may have been the "Melody Maker" (although that really is a guess) and it had a Cheap Trick track on it called Hello There from their album In Color. I really liked it and my mate kept playing it in his car so we decided to go see this new band when they announced the gig. It was just a little club in Edinburgh but they had the big hit single during that tour. I can remember very little about the gig itself.

Their latest album "We're Alright" is pretty good too. In fact their last few albums have been excellent. I think they are a bit like Quo in that they are incredibly under-rated, even thought they were inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame last year (or year before).

Maybe if I had gone to festivals back then I'd have seen them too, but generally I so rarely go to rock gigs at all ..
