Cleaning out my old laptop earlier and found a couple bootlegs I completely forgot about along with this gem... give it a quick 'boost of life'

Probably the best bootleg there is of Quo. It's fantastic!

Best version of this song ever. Totally better than the studio version. I think it's because Ricks guitar is higher in the mix and drives the song much more !

The entire recording was meant to get an official release about 15 years ago and I even ordered it from Amazon. But it was pulled. Pity. This and the BBC Paris Theatre one from 1973 were the best bootlegs around for many years. Probably because they were radio broadcasts and half decent quality. Great stuff.

By the way and just as an observation, I don't think I've seen that pic of the band before.
And I thought I'd seen them all!

Hopefully we will see this released soon. BBC one has been released on the Piledriver Deluxe version, as the entire Quo Back Cat is now owned by universal maybe we will see a deluxe version of DOTH with the Sweden show. Now all the arguments over royalties have been settled which was the reason for the pull 15 years ago.

And wasn't it Rossi himself (and Parfitt) who nixed the Stockholm gig? Because they felt it was too sloppy? Going back a few years now, so may have got that wrong.

Yes I think they do as they bought Sanctuary records who owned the Pye back cat. PMM and Spare Parts have already been released as Deluxe versions. Not sure on who blocked it but the legal stuff with Alan was still ongoing when the release was pulled.

Ah I didn't know they owned the Pye stuff. Well that's good news - with all the live stuff coming out, there cant be that many reasons not to release the gig. Not that I'm an expert in such things.

I like to think all issues about royalties have been ironed out now, especially since the reunion. I think they must be given the live stuff we're getting from the 70's these days and with more on the horizon. Its almost like Stockholm, Madrid and Milton Keynes have all been forgotten about. Pretty much the three that we're all looking for. Well, I am
