This is my favourite song from the QPQ album. It still sounds fresh and energetic to this day. A shame it was never considered to be played live. I know, it's fast, but they did play Two Way Traffic, if only for one tour. I'd have prefered FH instead !

Not my favourite from the album but it has a certain speedy charm I like the album - or at least pretty much the first 11 tracks. Tails off after that. Most albums do when they're that long. I thought the song was about one thing but someone else thought it was about something else and was meant for the film soundtrack. Quite odd lyrically.

I think it is a good song and the lyrics are thought provoking. Put your own interpretation on them.

It had been the title song for Care Factor Zero and when the film was changed into the less sinister Bula Quo, the song title had to be changed too as it wasn't needed for the film anymore. How much the rest of the lyrics was altered too is unknown though (to me at least). My guess would be - not much ..

This has been discussed before, but I really start to think that the song is a thinly veiled description of how Francis sees the whole rock'n'roll business. Quite a few songs on QPQ are autobiographical in some way and this song probably very much echoes the whole frustration that he seems to be struggling with for a while now.
And yes, it's one of my faves as well, otherwise I certainly wouldn't have nicked it for my username!

And yes, it's one of my faves as well, otherwise I certainly wouldn't have nicked it for my username! I'd never have guessed .. And yep, it could well reflect his perception of the business, but I tend to be very cautious with that. It was meant to be the title song for a film and we don't know the storyline enough to say whether the lyrics reflect it. And we mustn't forget - Andy wrote the lyrics to Dust To Gold, even if it sounds autobiographical for Francis - who'd never have written anything like it, I'm sure. And Rick didn't write the This Is Me lyrics either .. Generally I think that many lyrics are probably personal - just not in the obvious way they seem to us. We don't know most of what's going on in the lives of the guys and what moves them ..
