A superb track written by Francis Rossi and Bernie Frost.

Love the original which Demis Roussos sung (with FR/BF on instruments/backing vocals), but Francis' voice is so darned good in ballads, Quo's version is just utterly yummy.

(Probably) my favourite track from one of my favourite Quo albums. As such, 'tis high up in my Quo track pecking order.

Most Quo folk will both dislike and disown it though :ignore:  , hence why it's getting booted out of the rigged  ballad poll - their opinion's wrong  to be respected  of fish-head-smash-smiley-emoticon  course

Believe it or not, that's the first time I've ever heard the Demis Roussos version. I never ever bothered before because I don't really like the Quo track. I have to say it's not bad at all. The overall sound on it is better and it has a nicer 'feel' to it.

Still don't particularly like the Quo version though.

I always think this is Abba- esque.

The bit where the lyrics are "kiss your lips and tell you I love you", your can imsgime in a classic Abba video with the girls turning face to face , type of thing

It's pure pish, as a means of being polite.
And I agree, big DR's version is much better. The reason for that is simple.
That's the sort of songs he is meant to sing. FFS
