Radio 2s album of the week, starting Saturday 22nd October. Is it? I think that's quite an accolade. Radio2 have been very supportive of the band over the past few years. Usually only listen to Ken Bruce's Pop Master at 10:30 but I may tune into other shows now. Apart from Steve Wright as he does my head in.

Quo are permanent bed fellows with Radio 2 now. Which is fair enough. It's mainly just former Radio 1 DJ's who are now a bit older. And less interested in the sound of their own voice or doing a phone-in about unwanted Christmas presents  Chris Evans is rather taken with the single That's A Fact. He loves it. That's a fact an' all.

The album of the week is only on the Ken Bruce show I think....not across the whole station (although I could be wrong).

He said it was a new single though (I thought he was going to talk about Hold You back which will be the next single), as That's a Fact was released a month ago wasn't it?

Whether you like Chris Evans or not (and he's not exactly a favourite of mine) he does hold sway with his playlist and radio show so its all good exposure for the album and the band. The "single" is a few weeks old but it's all academic. They really are just tracks made available early to promote an album these days. And That's A Fact is sort of less typical Quo than the next one. I think Jam Side Down is to be the one after that.

For me its a poor album. Actually down there with PR,TW. You are being far too modest/kind!!!,, its far worse than either of the 2 you mention, it even makes Rossi's solo albums sound like masterpieces and I never thought that would be possible, so they have surpassed themselves with AQ2,, in my opinion of course

What comments did he make when he played them back to back? He was raving about the acoustic version and said he now realised the track was originally a track from 76. He said he couldn't understand how he'd missed it as he was a bit of a Quo fan back then.

He missed it because it wasn't a single....he must not have had the album!
