Do you watch them - and which one(s) ? Throughout the summer season, when I did tours on my real bike I haven't watched a single one. Last night I've officially started the winter season with a longer stint on the exercise bike and nothing makes time fly by so fast as watching a Quo video while busy cycling. I started with the FF Hammersmith gig from 2013, but for variety all kinds of gigs are to follow.

I have a tendency to watch them only once, especially the live ones. Although I have watched the wedding video at least half a dozen times.

Haven't watched one for a couple of weeks now to be honest.
When I bought Montreux, Pictures, Accept No Substitute etc, I watched them every day until I got tired of them.
Still inclined to watch parts of The Roundhouse concert fairly regularly though

One of very many this band have given me over the decades. Anyone watched Bula Quo! more than once? Or even all the way through?

I watch some of the official DVD's from time to time, but often watch bootleg dvd's from the FF reunion gigs, mainly the 1st nights in Glasgow ( a Glasgow Quo crowd will never be bettered) & Manchester

One of very many this band have given me over the decades. Anyone watched Bula Quo! more than once? Or even all the way through? Yep, the secret is to first watch the synchronised German version, which very much has a Laurel and Hardy touch and follow it up with the original. Makes that sound like a masterpiece and Oscar-contender. ??? Alternatively you can first watch the flooding doc and then the film. This way you're prepared to forgive a lot - including those err.. peculiar jumps from one scene to the next, as you wonder how filming there had been possible at all. Mac Never .. :lolflg: The Roundhouse I've watched at least 10x, same goes for St. Lukes or the Party documentary. And there are a few others like the FF videos or Just Doin' It, which I've seen more than a handful of times too. You've got to understand: winters are long and were it not for the vids, the evenings on the exercise bike would drag on endlessly .

In the meantime I've watched the Just Doin' It gig during another exercise bike session. The main thing I noticed: For the first time it left me cold and I was rather bored with it. I can't quite put my finger on why that is, but I very much suspect it's to do with the set list. It was nice though to hear Francis say 'Guess who's back ?'. I can well imagine something similar to happen in 2017/18 .

Who's wedding? Rossi & Porter? Hey, Mr Porter; What Shall I do? I used to play with a mate of mine; But I've ended up with you. I was never that impressed with the Montreux video(s). The crowd always seemed a bit sedate, although the band were first class. I take it they just chose it because all of the filming equipment was already in place anyway for Swiss TV.

Just been watching the Shepperton jam session from the Hello Quo DVD whilst tidying the house.
Still get goosebumps in certain places now.
You can tell they were somewhat rusty but the magic remains.

Yep - love it ! Best part of the whole documentary and by far Francis and Alan strolling through their old neighbourhood is quite lovely as well (the rest I've merely watched once and wasn't too impressed with it).

Something else that grabbed me when watching the video: It was filmed before mobiles became a common nuisance at gigs and still merely 10 years ago ..

One of the best live shows filmed, this line up is the best post 86 line up live. Possibly even better than the FF. Possibly.....

At the moment, I seem to prefer the "older" version of Quo. Can't say why. maybe because they were better ?!

This might sound a bit daft but once the NEC gig came out on video in 1982, that was it for me. I could watch Quo any time I liked. I didn't have to wait for the odd appearance on TV and I didn't have to wait till the gigs came round. Somehow that gut wrenching excitement had gone and would never be the same again. And videos came thick and fast after that. Either that or I just grew up.

I watched the Hammersmith 2013 DVD, followed by the Hammersmith 2014 DVD at the weekend. Occasionally I watch the 60s/70s promo videos from the Substitute's DVD & the Roundhouse blu-ray.

For some reason I very much prefer 2013 over 2014. There's magic in 2013, which is somehow gone in 2014 (Despite the set and the playing having been better). Albeit very different, there's magic in the Roundhouse gig as well. The Hydepark on the other hand I've only watched once and don't feel the need to watch it again.

As someone who merely entered the Quo video age with the FITLC video ( ??? ) I can confirm, that it's the growing up bit that took away the intensity of feelings. Don't blame it on the videos - for once technology is innocent.

I agree regarding the Hammersmith '13 gig, there was magic to see all 4 of them on the same stage, for the first time since that night I saw them at the Southampton Gaumont in '81 and I must admit there was a tear in the eyes when the curtain fell. I went to the Roundhouse more of curiosity, but I did enjoy most of it and it was quite refreshing to not know the set list, okay we knew what they were playing, but not the order of the set. Regarding Hyde Park, I only watched it once, when it was shown live on the BBC
