One of Quo's best ballads, if not the best ! So beautiful and the way it's sung is perfect - great move to use the singing from the demo. It was so wonderful to hear it live on the FR solo tour and to have a live version on record and video now. I can understand why Quo didn't play it in the electric set - although IMO it would've been the perfect lighters in the air moment (make that mobiles these days ) - but it would fit really well into an acoustic set. I'm aware though, that it's obviously more for the girls, while most of the guys seem to not get it . Completely different question seeing that it's a vid from macks - does anyone know what has become of her ?

I guess I'm one of those blokes. I don't like ballads as a rule unless they have a melody that hooks me in some way. Lyrics are and always will be a side issue when I'm listening to music. Good ones are a bonus although, admittedly, really bad ones can put me off. That might be true of most blokes actually. Unless, of course, they write a song. Then it becomes very personal. I get that.
Tongue Tied just isn't my type of track. I do quite like the rawness of the vocals. Same as they did with Rick on the Aquostic version of All The Reasons. But the melody I just find a bit dull. To me, Quo aren't great at ballads or slower type songs, try as they do sometimes. They've come up with a few over the decades like A Year, Lonely Man, All The Reasons, Warning Shot or even songs like Familiar Blues. And Andy wrote one or two crackers on his solo album. But how many really memorable ones have been written by Francis? He's on a different page from me. And it's not a book I'd generally read.
He can write a very good 'song'. One Step At A Time and If You Believe probably being his best for me. I like those.
It's a shame and probably my loss but most of the others are the 'skip' tracks for me on Quo albums.

Love this song and it's probably my favourite from the album.
Delighted that Francis sung this in Edinburgh during his solo tour, was a real highlight for me.
A song reflecting on the past, there's nothing about it that I don't like.

Nope, I think its total tripe to be honest, I don't even regard it as a Quo song either, only in name, like so many others have been , so def a skip song off the album.

I love this song, and I get it (and I'm a bloke), but I find it too sad (lyrically) to listen to very often.
On his solo tour Francis seemed disappointed because it didn't get a better reaction. Now whilst some people obviously won't like it, I think the reaction is more down to the type of song it is. Sad song, muted reaction. You're not going to cheer and shout and scream at the top of your voice after a song like that....you're going to clap politely.

You forgot to put "in your opinion" at the end of your comment as its not a fact simply an opinion

For me, in my opinion, not speaking for anyone else, I think that my feeling is that it's a superb track.

Well, the song is certainly where it belongs, in a Rossi solo set

I like this track. One of the best from the ISOTFC-album.

I think I'm on the same page. I hate how scratchy Francis' voice sounds here, and the chord sequence is really just ripped off from "Imagine". Not a bad song, but certainly one of my three least liked ones on ISOTFC.

That suits the song perfectly. Guess there are many songs using the same chords ? But while I don't much like Imagine, I absolutely love TT.

Sorry, singers forcing their voice is always like sandpaper to my ears (Adele etc.). The idea of vulnerability is good, but "when you walked b yy yy yy yy I knew that I would fall in lo oo oo oove..."? thumbs-down-clipart12 Not for me.
