Will John and Alan be on Rick's solo album if and when it gets made? It makes sense if you read the interview with Francis that Rick, Alan and John all wanted to carry on doing the Rock stuff. Maybe this is Their chance. It would be great if they did appear on it and it sold well as Francis clearly doesn't think an FF album would.
I will deffinatly be buying it if and when it comes out no matter who is on it with Rick. Will you?

It would be great if they are involved but even if they aren't, I'll buy it.

Maybe wishful thinking from me, but I'm hoping Alan will be part involved, not too bothered about John,, but I have a hunch its more likely to be Rhino involved, which I'm fine with

As always it'll depend on the music and whether I like it or not. I don't buy music out of loyalty.
Realistically, if Rick isn't able to work with the band I can't see him recording a solo rock album with whoever. Is he even allowed to play an electric guitar again with his defibrillator ?

So you listen to an album first before deciding if you buy it or not & don't buy it simply because of the artist ? I tend to agree with your second comment, just wishful thinking on my part that he will record a solo album I suppose. Time will tell of course.

I tend to agree with your second comment, just wishful thinking on my part that he will record a solo album I suppose. Time will tell of course. Indeed. Back during the 70s I made the mistake to buy albums on the strength of one single or the band name even. Got a few useless albums that way (Expect No Merci from Nazareth a prime example). But after I had made the mistake with Quo a few times - IYCSTH, JS - I stopped buying albums out of loyalty and merely bought what I liked. And I avoided compilations that offered nothing new. There's a reason why I still don't own Don't Stop or 12 Gold Bars or .. . I'm neither a collector nor a completist. Edit: I actually bought NTL with the back2back series when switching to CD and 1982 maybe 5-10 years ago. I still regret it. I should've been more consequent.

I don't wish to be pessimistic but none of us is really sure how fit Rick actually is. In terms of playing or making music that is. I've read the terms "mild cognitive impairment" and references to "co-ordination" issues so he will need to recuperate a good while longer before he can undertake such a project. I'm no medical practitioner but it sounds like he has symptoms fairly similar to having had a stroke. As for the involvement of anyone else, it's pretty evident that Alan hasn't been the picture of health for a long time either. But, of course, you can never discount it. I think Rick would like them both to do it. Whether two thirds of them are able is another matter. But I would certainly buy it in the blink of an eye. If I bought King Of The Doghouse I'll buy anything.

There were 4 or 5 tracks on the album ( Doghouse, that is) that were OK. Alright, there were 4 But it wasn't so much a Francis solo album as a vehicle for Tony McAnaney. He wrote 7 of the 10 songs. The Rossi/Frost tracks actually turned out to be the best ones with, for me, Someone Show Me Home being the stand-out and better than the Quo version. Anyway, we digress. Let's hope Rick can achieve what he wants to. He has nothing but time to do it now. Go for it, Mr P.

I used to have both Rossi solo albums, luckily I saw sense and sold them both for what i could get for them, which wasnt much

I'd get it for sure.
Although, I think Rick would need a lot of help with inspiration. His style of music can be somewhat unimaginative at times.

Recorded Delivery was so bad it was practicably unlistenable. I downloaded it a few years ago and after a couple of goes trying to listen to it I gave up and binned it off my computer.

Not sure I'd want an album full of Parfitt/Morris songs! If he mixed it up and wrote some with Morris (who's first name I've forgotten), some with Andy and some with Rhino I'd prefer it (and even may some with Alan, although the distance might be a problem unless Alan comes over).

In that case then may I respectfully suggest you stick with just the Rossi solo albums, as they would obviously be more to your'e liking

I liked One Step at a Time (and I'm not ashamed to admit it), liked Andy Bown's last album, and liked the first Rhino's Revenge album; but I didn't like Rhino's Revenge 2 and wasn't that keen on King of the Doghouse. I'm willing to give all Quo albums and related solo albums a go and will be honest about them without slagging them off (I don't see a need or the point of that).

I have heard Aquostic 2, in full and have given it a fair listening, so that blows your case clear out of the water again
