I really like the UTI-album, but this track isn't one of my favourites of this album. That new track on Aquostic II, One Of Everything, has the same feel as Blessed Are The Meek imo.

I don't get OOE at all, it's a bit too simple and boring for my liking, but BATM is a wonderful tune with lyrics that make me smile. It was great to hear it live at Francis' solo gig and to have that version on vid/CD too. Wish Quo played it too live, but they seem to have dropped all real slow songs a while ago (Living On An Island, Dirty Water ..).

An album I mostly like; a track I'm afraid I'm not wild about. I'm not a lyric type of bloke but this is one of those where I think the melody is OK but the lyrics detract from the listening pleasure. Really simplistic. They are almost childish. In a gather round the campfire, play tambourines and sing uplifting hymns sort of way. One Of Everything has a similar melody but is a good bit slower. However, I find it a better song. Although still not in the "can't put it down, page turner" mould But like the vast majority of Quo's output, I don't completely dislike Blessed Are The Meek. I just tend to skip it if I can be ar$ed pressing the button. Had I to go over and lift the stylus, I'd have definitely heard it more often!

I actually like the lyrics, simplistic as they are, they tell little well-known stories and make me smile - just like a Quo gig. I'd say that even is a factor why so many like the song without being able to explain it.
