Comparing the original version against the Aquostic version is the same as comparing a top of the range sports car to a clapped out MOT failure,, IN MY OPINION I would say it was like comparing a sports car with a family car. Both are useful / enjoyable but in their own different ways. Built for different purposes. Are the Aquostic versions made for a different purpose?!?! Still made for enjoyment, but maybe by different people. Put my Dad in a Ferrari and I doubt he'd enjoy it!! Put Lewis Hamilton in an estate car and he'd be well bored! Put me in a locked room with both Aquostic albums and I'll happy as a pig in whatever waste it chooses to roll in. Unlock the door, take the albums off me and pass me any number of other Quo albums and I'll be equally happy. S'funny. I still like this band. There are multiple reasons for the band changing direction (sort of) several times over the years. Boredom, money, drugs and no doubt several others. I'm frankly not ar$ed what the reasons are. If they make something I like (which is more often than not) I'll listen to it; quite a lot actually. If not, I won't. I didn't like the album that Again And Again came from. It was the very first album the band released that I wasn't 100% mad on after 7 glorious, perfect years. I still don't like it much. So I don't play it as a rule. But I can see why they recorded it. Boredom, money (the lure of America), drugs.... well they were always around.

When I first heard Again And Again, I liked it a lot, but I soon went of it, until I heard the Aquostic version and now I've rediscovered it, but I preferred the follow up single Accident Prone. I remember my girlfriend at the time, dancing to it at a disco after the dj played it after 2 Bee Gee's tracks, Night Fever and You should be Dancing.

Yeah, it could never be called a disco classic but it did spawn probably their best ever video. A video I had never seen until the advent of broadband!
