RAOTW everytime. Got the Heat album on in the car today and it isn't sounding any better than it used to. People talk about Accident Prone having disco drums but surely I'm Gonna Teach You To Love Me is more disco sounding and not just the drums.

Voted for Heat, simply because I don't skip any songs off the Heat album and Baby Boy is an abysmal song (IHO)

Rockin' because I like almost all of it. The.... Heat album I like less tracks on, although it was always saved by Oh, What A Night and it's closing tracks, Let Me Fly and Like A Good Girl. Love the solo in that last one .
If You Can't Stand The Heat certainly wins the sleeve design. Always one of their best. Memories? Both were released coming into winter but only one of them kept me warm I can remember my feeling of huge disappointment after the first side of .... Heat and prayed that it got better. Thankfully, it did. For some inexplicable reason, I can remember the first time I heard Again And Again. It was on the radio and I was in a caravan in a place called Birnam on my first holiday with my then new and rather fetching fiancée. She wasn't a fan and I was a bit underwhelmed. At the song that is Things picked up though as Rangers knocked Juventus out of the European Cup and it was live on television. So it wasn't all bad news. See what I did there?

Voted for Heat, simply because I don't skip any songs off the Heat album and Baby Boy is an abysmal song (IHO) I feel very similar about the albums....but I voted for the other one! I often skip Baby Boy, I don't skip any tracks on IYCSTH, but I overwhelmingly prefer RAOTW.

A tough one, but today I'll vote for RAOTW, only because the track, Hold You Back reminds me of a great weekend in Minehead.

RAOTW everytime. Got the Heat album on in the car today and it isn't sounding any better than it used to. People talk about Accident Prone having disco drums but surely I'm Gonna Teach You To Love Me is more disco sounding and not just the drums. Accident Prone is definitely the winner for the disco drum beat. As for the better album, I don't mind either of them. RAOTW; Hold You Back Rockers Rollin' Rockin' Dirty Water Can't Give You More For You You Don't Own Me (A bit of an in the middle track. Not bad, but not good either) Hard Time IYCSTH; Again and Again I'm Giving Up My Worrying Someone Show Me Home Long Legged Linda Oh! What A Night Accident Prone Let Me Fly Like A Good Girl All of the tracks I listen to from either album. I'd love for John Eden to get his hands on the Heat album like he did with Rockin', and have a mess around with it. If I'm honest, I just want to hear Accident Prone in all its glory, uncut.

What a choice that was lol. The ‘ Heat ‘ album when it came out was worse than when Rocking came out. Again and Again was a poor follow up single after Rockin as well !! Although I still absolutely love ‘ Oh what a Night ‘ Just a really dissdapointing album. I voted for Rocking but based on the original release as it happened. Just has much stronger songs than Heat. Songs that stayed with them live as well !

Neither are great overall but RAOTW wins easily for me on the back of Rockers Rollin, RAOTW, HYB and Dirty Water.
All of the above are brilliant songs for differing reasons:
Rockers Rollin is quintessential Quo. One of Parfitts masterpieces.
RAOTW is cliched and overplayed but still a great song.
HYB is utterly joyous in any format.
Dirty Water is beautiful and the solo is to die for.

I loved the RAOTW album when it was released and IYCSTH had me shocked, so an easy choice for me. And I didn't even notice a thinner sound than usual on the first, I just took it for what it was, but I did notice a different sound on the latter and I didn't like that one bit.

Well this poll has been up for 2 & 1/2 weeks now, so I'll unofficially close it and declare it 17-1 (or 19-3 including the 'both' votes) to RAOTW. So I know it was only up against IYCSTH, but for an album that has been almost universally panned by Quo fans, it didn't do bad! This was the first album (of any band) that I ever bought, and the only Quo album I owned for a year or more! And I've always loved it, and love the remix even more. It might have been a different story (certainly much closer) if I'd paired it up against BFY. If you come to this thread late, feel free to comment and vote. Snakelady, when I've put the next one up feel free to move it. Thanks for voting.
